That’s been a real loss in ease of usage… but now this app has given me a great (if not better) solution- as a standalone Mac app with anytime-access from the Menubar no matter what application I’m working in, I no longer need the browser open at all- and its killer “create note from clipboard” feature. And that means no more using Google’s killer "Chrome Extension for Keep" that lets you select text anywhere on your Mac or on any webpage, right-click the selection, and seamlessly “send to Keep” without ever a needing to even open Keep in your browser. But unfortunately I can no longer use Chrome on my Mac due to Chrome's massive memory/CPU load, so I've had to now use Safari. Thank you, dev, for creating this! I’ve been using Google Keep for several years now on my phone and with Chrome Browser & it's dramatically enhanced my life & productivity, for real. It looks really nice in addition to performing as expected. And 10 different color-themes for the app. But going even further, it has KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS for "New Note window", “Create new note from clipboard”, "Enable/Disable desktop widget", "Show/hide Menubar note window". MyKeep's note formats, colors, layouts and menus seem identical to the official KEEP app or using Keep in a web browse, so there is zero learning curve- it just works instantly. When you launch the app, there’s a Google sign-in popup, you just log into your Keep account as usual, then boom- instantly the MyKeep app icon shows up on your menu bar indropdown state, explaining that you can create, edit, open your Keep notes from the menubar, or by using desktop widgets - which makes it truly a standalone Mac App that you don’t need a browser for anymore! So you can get all kinds of work done and keep KEEP on the side ready for instant entry of new notes- which sync immediately as expected. But no! this developer nailed it, and it’s so simple and seamless. I assumed that maybe the other app’s problems were due to some fundamental glitch in getting Mac and Keep to "handshake” properly. I had tried in the past a different Mac Store app for “Keep", but unfortunately itm was just riddled with problems with notes not syncing, making its entire usage totally unreliable and creating the frustration of never knowing “will THIS note sync? Or will it be delayed and maybe never sync?” So when I saw this other Keep app released, I was hopeful, but kinda skeptical too- because why aren’t there more KEEP related apps in the Mac Store? That makes it so much faster to capture an idea then get right back to the program or task you were working on.

I’m really happy to have discovered MyKeep Notes for the Mac! It works! And instantly lets you dispense with needing to have a browser window open to create, view, edit your Keep notes.

FINALLY! A Google Keep app for Mac that WORKS- menubar access, desktop widgets & more
